Sequoia national park
Sequoia and kings canyon national park are next to each other but the area is so vast and there is no way you can cover everything in a single visit.
We started from Fresno at around 9 in the morning and it was almost an hour and a half drive. It definitely has a lot of curves so if you have nausea carry these -> Vomit bags
We went to these spots in Sequoia national park:
- Lodgepole Visitor Center
- General Sherman's tree
- Crescent meadow
- Moro rock
- Tunnel log
- Giant Forest museum
Lodgepole Visitor Center
This is the point where you park your car and take the internal shuttle to the points of interest.
General Sherman's tree
The one thing we wanted to see was general Sherman's tree and it's definitely a treat to watch these tall and massive trees. Even though most of the trees are protected we saw some destroyed due to wildfire.
Crescent meadow
Just a meadow. It will be beautiful when flowers bloom. Unfortunately, the time we went it was pretty much boring.
Moro rock
This is absolutely stunning and I was able to go to the top it has an amazing view of other nearby mountains.
Tunnel log
So they just dug in a hole and placed it horizontally. Well !!
Giant Forest museum
this is just crap. Went just for the sake of visiting. Good to know about these trees but still there wasn't a need for a museum for displaying a couple of things. Its basically a place to sell merchandise.
